Alex and James tied the knot at The Jackson Ranch by Bannisters. In this special reflection, bride Alex shares their unique love story and the memorable moments from their stunning wedding day.
We were set up by friends, who we are now incredibly close with as a couple and spend most weekends together!
Alex knew all about the ring because they chose it together and she knew James was waiting for the perfect moment. He proposed on the boat in our favourite spot as the sun was setting with our two best friends there (the ones who set us up). It was very James, simple and relaxed!
FUN, we really focused on guest experience and considered this at every stage of the day; drinks on arrival, oyster bar, flowing cocktails, cake at cocktail hour, portrait photographer for guests, dancefloor before dinner, tambourines as place cards and LOTS of time for dancing at the end! For styling we focused on simple elegance, hints of lilac and sage with statement stationery items

Sarah Marie Celebrancy, the most incredible celebrant, she told our story so well and started our day so perfectly + Clubsol band, they absolutely brought the VIBES the entire day, entertainment is so important and they nailed it + Blanc Portraits, the photos they took of our guests are so amazing, we wish we got more photos with them. Samantha Colling Creative – did all of our stationery including the tambourines and custom table runner, she is so creative and everything she did for us was unique and stunning!
Scrap boring traditions and genuinely focus on what you want to do, focus on fun and celebrations! Also start your day as early as you can because it goes way too quickly, we did a first look and it was one of our favourite moments of the entire day! Choose your vendors very carefully, they will seriously alter your day so having an amazing team around you is incredibly important, ask LOTS of questions about how they work!
