What were the main features you looked for in a Venue?

We wanted raw, natural, cozy and a space for our guests to stay.

What was your wedding style or theme:

The vibe was native Australia, natural woods.

Where were your ceremony and reception locations:

Our ceremony was outdoors on the green next to The Lodge and the reception within The Lodge.

Biggest budget spends:

The venue, we knew it would be a reflection of us and set the tone for the whole experience.

Favorite moments:

• As dad walked me down the aisle to the song Matt proposed to, played by our friend, it all felt surreal. Then, to see Matt waiting for me, I suddenly had tunnel vision, all I could see and hear was him.
• At the end of the night we had the opportunity to sneak away to a hidden newlywed suite. The solitude in a space that was perfectly set for comfort and luxury was the most incredible way to bring in the first day as husband and wife. The sunrise over the Yuin bushland and lake is a moment we will never forget.

Hardest planning element:

The time and constant communication between people. It is a large but beautiful project.
